Meet Our Instructors:
Beth Barbeau, BS, is a Homebirth Midwife, Childbirth & Breastfeeding Educator, and an Instructor in the Holistic Labor Companion program at the Naturopathic Institute in Mt. Pleasant, MI. With nearly 20 years of experience in the field of birth and infant/child care, she co-founded Indigo Forest in 2007.
Christopher Barbeau has 34 years experience as a stuntman, martial artist, and movement specialist. Founder of Ring of Steel, the nation’s oldest and largest continuously running “Stunt Action Theatre,” he also runs summer stunt camps for children and can be found at www.ringofsteel.org.
Jennifer Coffman, MPH, is an epidemiologist and women’s health educator. She has taught fertility awareness to women for over 10 years, helping them to achieve or avoid pregnancy naturally.
Krista Dragun is certified Birthing From Within mentor, mother, and birth & postpartum doula.
Linda Diane Feldt has been providing an integrated approach to holistic health care in Ann Arbor for over 25 years. In addition to her training and certifications in Massage, Polarity Therapy, Cranialsacral Therapy and Herbology, Linda Diane has used her extensive expertise at nearly 150 births, worked with hundreds of newborns and babies individually, and authored three books, including Massage: Learning to Give and to Receive.
Keleigh Lee is a Workplace Lactation Specialist trained by the US Department of Health Resources and Services Administration as part of the Business Case for Breastfeeding initiative. She has been working with employers and employees to ensure breastfeeding success through the Washtenaw County Breastfeeding Coalition, is a La Leche League Leader, and brings her expertise, compassion and experience as a working mother of three (soon to be four!) directly to mothers to help them prepare for their ultimate balancing act.
Sierra Hillebrand, MA is a midwife, doula, and psychotherapist who has provided clinical services to women and their families since 1997.
Maraih Newborne received her BA in Art in 1980, and is a Licensed Esthetician and is certified in Jin Shin Jyutsu®, Reiki l, ll & lll, MariEl-Reiki and Acupressure. She now has a practice in Ann Arbor and offers natural skin care and healing work. Because of her interest in health and wellness she uses products that are organic and natural, free of chemicals and preservatives.
Nicole Paquin, C.T.N., is a graduate of and instructor at the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education in Mt. Pleasant, MI. She is nationally certified by the American Naturopathic Certification Board, and has a private Naturopathic Practice in Ann Arbor, MI.
Milagros Parades is a shiatsu therapist who has been practicing since 1994. She has spent the last eight years seeking an understanding of and solution for her son’s digestive disorders, and her desire is to share her experience and knowledge with other families.
Elizabeth Shadigian, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, teacher, researcher, and consultant specializing in the safety and well-being of women. She founded the Battered Women and Children’s Memorial Garden, and recently opened her private practice, www.womansafehealth.com.
